    AsterMind Cyber Security Platform

    A case, not an alert.

Your security stack sees everything and scores everything. But a score only tells you what to look at: not why, not what else it could be, and not what it never checked. The AsterMind Cyber Security Platform doesn't score alerts. The Detective works the case.

    The Detective

Inside the platform is the Detective: a cybernetic organism built from real biology. Neurons that fire. Synapses that learn. It is neuro-symbolic, but the neuro part isn't a transformer; it's real biology. The symbolic part is an investigator's craft: hypotheses, evidence and a case file.

    It watches behavior, not signatures

Its detectors watch what programs and people do, not the names of their tools: a trusted program fetching code from somewhere it never has; a password failing, and failing, then succeeding. They fire from day one. And a detector never convicts; it hands the Detective evidence.

A control chart on everything it watches

It keeps a chart on every person, place and thing it watches: the same control charts clinical laboratories use to know when a result can be trusted. One reading outside two standard deviations is a warning. Two in a row, and it opens a case.

    It makes the explanations compete

Then it does what a good investigator does. It lays out every explanation and makes them compete until the evidence settles one. It asks whether it has seen this actor before, and whether this identity should be doing this at all.

    The case file

What comes out isn't an alert. It's a case file: what happened, and who. The evidence. The reasoning, including every explanation it ruled out, and why. The charts that tripped. Every relationship. Which parts of the Detective agreed, and which dissented.

When it can't be sure, it says so

Found. Nothing there. Or: I could not look. When the evidence doesn't settle a case, it holds the case open and tells you what it needs. It never calls blindness “all clear.”

    Where it came from

Every address in a case lands on the map: country, city, coordinates and time zone, from a GeoIP database that lives on your own hardware, so the location lookup never leaves your network.

A record that can't be quietly edited

Every action on a case, the Detective's and your analysts', is written into a cryptographic chain. Each record is sealed to the one before it: change one, and the chain breaks. Some records can't be switched off, not even by an administrator.

    Runs on your hardware

    On-premises, or fully air-gapped. No reach-back. No phone-home.

    Proof: a live evaluation

On the second day of a live evaluation, a professional red team came at our box with a scanning tool and injection probes. Five of our detectors fired, 51 times in 54 seconds, and not one of them was a signature for their tool. The case was investigated a third of a second after it triggered, on a brain that had learned nothing yet, with the attacker's address in the evidence. They never got in.

Then they tried to trick us: millions of harmless flight-tracking records, dressed up as a mission feed, to see if we'd invent a threat. We raised no false alarms. We turned their decoy into a live, three-dimensional picture of the sky instead.
